Logos created for the television show Perlevenner. There are two seasons and a christmas calender. Perlevenner is airing on Pirat TV. The Danish Broadcast Corporations online youth channel.
Perlvenner is a show about two second generation Arabic immigrants. They are reviewing Danish culture in a fun and street wise fashion. The name “Perlevenner” means very good friends. The first part of the word “Perle” literally meaning pearl is also a racist phrase used by some Danish policemen to describe Middle Eastern immigrants.
The two main characters are self proclaimed gangsters and street kids. I didn’t want to reflect that in the logo. I wanted to make a more direct comment on the name “Perlevenner” (Very good friends). I drew inspiration from old teenage magazines to create a kind of duality. Gangsters with teenage graphics.
