Copenhagen
2008

Art direction and design for a book about the forgotten, abandon and unknown places of Copenhagen. The book is narrated with photos, essays, poems and comics.

The front cover features the official seal of Copenhagen which is used in all the communication material from the municipality. We wanted people to be confused about the book’s origins. Did the municipality create it or was it a joke? Most things in the book freatures trespassing and breaking the law in different ways. It felt good linking that with the majors office.

The book is designed with a simple four-column grid to organise images and text. The idea was to keep the layout clean and “invincible” and let the reader focus on the wide range of different content.

Created in collaboration with Asmus Lauridsen. The book features contributions by Asmus Lauridsen, Morten Akhøj, Kasper Ledet, Mads Oxholm, Emil Germod and Benny Søhave Sørensen.
